Every January, I create a polish in memory of my grandfather, who lost his battle with depression in January of 2005. Since January is all about cats, I chose to draw inspiration from a very special one - his cat from my childhood.
“Road Cat,” affectionately known as Roadie, was found in the middle of the street in the fall of 1996. My grandfather wrote me a letter about finding him (which I've included in the listing if you're curious), and I remember how excited I was knowing I’d be visiting the following month for Christmas.
I loved Roadie dearly. Unfortunately, the feeling wasn’t entirely mutual - though that may have had something to do with my tendency to force hugs on him. 😂
